Gap filler kit
So I had the same issue on my V90CC and designed a kit to fill the gap. It's a set of 10mm, 15mm and 20mm left and right side flexible TPU filler pieces which clip on the channel and fit on both sides of the seal. Made the kit available to purchase here : https://fnfdesign.myshopify.com/prod...ink-gap-filler
Here's a crappy video of it being installed: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o10ERE...ature=youtu.be |

Thanks for the link, I bought a set of the seal spacers too for my V90 (with panoramic sunroof) ... they arrived super quick from Canada to UK.

Great Idea, I was thinking about a group buy of one seal to be cut to to the lengths required for each members car :-)

Had this on our previous 2016 XC90, but never had any issues with leaks. Decided a pano roof was surplus to requirements when we changed, as we have a roofbox on most the time and it blocked out all the light anyway. Plus our new Momentum has the blond roof headlining which seems to make a massive difference in terms of how bright the cabin is

Brilliant!
I thought I would check out on the forum regarding a gap on the seal of my Sunroof. I spotted it last week and thought that a small piece was missing following jet washing the wheels, followed by a quick blow over of the rest of the car. Searched all around my drive for the piece that I thought was missing. Having now read the above post. I can see that the gap was caused by shrinkage of the seal and not a missing spacer. That’s probably why I could not find a spacer on the parts list. My plan was to get some black Roof & Gutter sealant from Screwfix or Travis & Perkins. Then fill the gaps. However. Now having seen these kits available from Canada. I have ordered a couple. Hopefully sorted as soon as they arrive. The smaller gap on the near side of the car could possibly be reduced with a push. Then the larger spacer used to fill the gap drivers side. |
