Default Fault codes and Dice

Just had the yellow emissions light come on my 2000 C70 so I read the code using a £15 odb reader and got P0172 System too rich bank 1.

The car is also a lot harder to start and the revs are no longer stable and fluctuating

My question is what is the issue?

Could vida/dice break the fault down further to say maf filter etc?

Any help would be appreciated.

A bit "generic" that code, doesn't point to anything specific, so first thing I'd look at is a thorough check for vacuum leaks in all the induction and vacuum pipes and lines. Quite common as these cars get to this age.

2000 c70 ME7 Engine management has it got the yellow sticker on the Throttlr Body and has it been cleaned as that could be letting to much air in a common issue on the ME7 Engines as the contacts wear

clean the butterfly with a rag soaked in Carb cleaner DO NOT spray Carb cleaner direct on to he butterfly valve as it will run into the electrics and make it worse

but yes vida would give you a proper code
