Default power steering fluid
hi I have a 2004 2.4 diesel xc90 I,m planning on changing the power steering fluid but I,ve seen a video on youtube saying not to use normal red power steering fluid so can someone let me know what fluid is used in the system

The green stuff that Volvo supply.
It operates differently at temperature extremes

Whatever you do, NEVER mix green and red fluid.

Got some today all done steering much improved .
The stuff that came out looked like dirty engine oil and a lot thicker than the new green stuff that went in .
New intercooler also fitted so all that's left to do is auto box fluid change and rear haldex unit fluid change
