Thumbs down Black Smoke Help

Hi All, ive had my S40 for almost a year now all fine to start with.
Can anybody point me in the right direction with my problem?
On Cold startup its quite lumpy with white smoke for 20 seconds smelling like unburnt diesel then after that its fine until the next day. Idle is a little lumpy but nothing to drastic after the initial.
Now more recently under acceleration im getting big clouds of black smoke even stationary under hard acceleration its the same.

Thanks in advance

Hi Stu,

Check the intake pipe for the intercooler for any splits and also give your egr a good clean.

If you find any splits let me know as I just did mine and ended up with 2 pipes due to a postage mess up.

Thanks
