fuel leak
Hi guys , my 92' Torslanda has developed a heavy fuel leak while is been off the road for the winter. It's a flexible hose with a split in it from from the in tank pump around 18" long then joining a rigid pipe. I'm looking for advice on what size/type hose and fastening clips I need and where to get them from.
Many thanks, Paul |

Just a warning - the steel pipes emerging from the tank are very prone to rust, and are easily bent or fractured while you struggle to remove a rubber hose.
My tip is to scrape away all the loose rust carefully and hoover out the debris, then paint the pipes and plate with repair resin, giving several coats when set. This reinforces any weakness, and also seals any pin-hole leaks that might have been developing. Then, cut the clips away carefully, pour hot water over the ends of the rubber pipes, and pinch the rubber gently with pliars in a way that doesn't squeeze the steel pipe. Don't pull the rubber off until it is freed from the pipe and can rotate. |

If I remember correctly the flexy hose on my '87 injection GLT from the tank outlet to the external fuel pump is approx 36". I think its 1/2" fuel hose and I needed a 19mm mikalor clamp.
