I'll scan them in and post them up later, probably tomorrow (busy tonight!)..

EDIT...

I have the details for a P2, and according to your sig you have a P1, so that won't help!! Sorry!!

Default Thank again

Thanks again but the details are only for the later V70's

The wiring i have has the sockets to attach to the car loom already on the ends of the wires so i guess its a simple task if i knew where the corresponding sockets are on the car loom

Hope some one has the answers

But thanks to those that have tried to help up to now

Hi Andrew - I'm having exactly the same problem as you. I've just fitted a genuine but used towbar to my '98 XC. The bar wiring has all the correct sockets but there aren't any corresponding ones in the loom. Based on searching through other threads, the early '98 and earlier cars don't have them (supposed to be in the N/S rear corner behind the trim panel). However, I also understand that there may have been a plug-in kit available from Volvo to connect it up - very expensive though.

I've had a good look through the various forums and haven't come up with any definative answers I'm afraid - someone else must have done it!!

I'm going to head for the scrappies this weekend and see if I can find the wiring in a couple of V70's I've seen with towbars.

Will post if I make any progress - if you could do the same, that would be helpful.

Cheers, Matt
