Default Volvo v50 retrofit genuine parking assit/sensors

Hi again,
The v50 i have hasn't got parking sensors / assist (whatever you liek to call the beeping noise). Is to possible to retro fit gen sensors to this car? Has anyone done it... I have looked on ebay, I can buy the sensors and a module box which I assume makes them work. Am I too optimistic in thinking the module plugs in somewhere around the back of into a spare connector box and by soem kind of magic they will work? Beeping, mute the radio ect.

Appreciate any direction advise you all might have

Ordered according to separate procedures and downloaded using VIDA.
being the "bit" from clans link that should tell you
"main dealer Or indy with vida" for the software download

Unsure if they would apply the download to the collection of parts you fitted to the car from 2nd user sources, worth asking Before you buy/fit the bits yourself

also be aware the "2rd party" systems that Can be "fitted" to the car hack into the wiring loom for the rear lights,, Very very less than ideal !generally fail fairly quickly compared to gen volvo , and do not mute anything *usually,, and get Beeping annoying when they fail ,,
which involves a Lot of taking to bits of the boot to find out Where they bodged it into the cars wiring loom,, a GOOD donation to the swear jar when the extent of the codge up is revealed,, removal of it, making good the wiring loom and leaving the sensors in the bumper /having holes left behind....

i went with the "leave the dead/non connected sensors in,, and Am hoping they are the Same size as the genuine ones when i get round to that job
