Default What belts at 30k?

Hi everyone,

I have a Volvo c30 2010 1.6 with 32k on the clock. Yes pretty much never driven before me. Anyway as I've got to the 32k mark I think I heard somewhere I should be changing some belts? Or that it's 10 years old or something. Any advice on what belts need changing and a rough price. Thanks Andy

The issue is much more the age rather than mileage.

The timing belt should be done (also called cam belt) and the auxiliary belt to. The belt should Cost around £25 quid (very rough) each max and larvour would be around 2.5hours for a cam belt and timing belt.

If it were me personally with that mileage I would just do the belts however if the garage recommends idler and tensioner (the bit the timing belt runs on) then I would also do that.

I would think a decent independent place would charge £180-250 for the belts and an additional £30-70 for idler and tensioner.

You will absolutely need to do them given the age not mileage.
