V50 Roof Rails ,how do they come off the car
I have a problem with a persistent leak on my V50 ,it's at the back or towards the back of the car and the Headlining near to the Nearside back window has been soaking Wet and the water has one down the side and onto the adjustable back parcel shelf ,in turn has gone into the spare wheel area and is Soaking .
I think it's to do with the Roof Rails on that side ,I want to take it off . Is it from the inside of the outside please ,I've looked on YouTube but all all I get is older V70's and 850 and they are quite different Thanks in advance |

This is for the fitting of roof rails on the V50 but you'll get the idea!
End caps to remove and they unbolt from outside the car. You can get the trim caps to cover the holes - a few people have 3D printed them too. Good luck! http://accessories.volvocars.com/en-...ult/V50%202012

V50 Roof Rails ,how to get them off
Thanks ,
I hope they're easy to get off without breaking as the car is 16 years old now ,a bit or rather a lot of lubrication will probably be needed to slide the covers off |

Persistent leak
Thanks I think that maybe the problem.
Yesterday I took the roofrail off cleaned and resealed with Silex Silicon Usually works a treat seals anything This morning still got the leak #### Ill have a go at the rear washer and thanks I thought it might be the shark fin aerial as the water when it’s dripped go’s onto the load cover in the same place ,still I will persevere Cheers |
