Scandix shipping costs risen very sharply
A salutary note for everyone - Scandex shipping charges have gone through the roof! Instead of the original standard 22 Euro shipping charge to EU countries on the order confirmation I had for an item ordered on 22nd December (before the 31st Brexit transition deadline), it increased to 60 Euro when it was shipped on 13th January. This appears to be as we are now non-EU for goods trade and there has to be a shedload of administrative documentation and customs declarations!! Of course, Scandix could be cashing in a bit but it does seem that DHL's charges to them have shot up
This makes Scandix (and potentially other European parts sources such as GCP) very expensive, particularly for small orders. John

I've had Polish sellers cancelling orders from me when I ordered a snorkel for my Daihatsu, they said it's because their courier doesn't process the correct tax forms etc.. Which is fair enough.
I think this kind of thing will settle down in time as couriers become more competitive to get the business, at the end of the day Scandix and others will lose out on business to local Volvo dealers etc.

Hi
I placed an order with Skandix before Christmas. Then it turned out some of the major parts were not available. I added some more parts then Skandix said that there were problems with delivery and they cancelled the whole order. Very frustrating. Steve

Expansive shipping
Hi all,
I agree some parts were already more pricier at SKANDIX but the service was excellent. I emailed them this week and young lady replied twice to my questions say I can’t have preferred rates and it’s all to do with Britex I said you are going to loose a lot of UK customers. It’s a shame that partsforvolvo don’t stock the multitude of goodies and bits our German friends do. I’ve used FRF Swansea a few times but when you have a long shopping list over the phone just doesn’t work especially when you can’t get through. Just my experiences of late...

It really is a shame that they have done that.
I was going to purchase the Egg Crate grll for my car. But i am not paying 150£ in total for one. i know parts for volvo do something similar but it just looks abit naff and cheesy, But ill survive without them |

I placed an order through Skandix for two front wings and some wee interior clips, i was then informed that the shipping cost would be- 270 Euro's! I thought that was totally ridiculous so I took the wings off the order and just ordered the clips and it was 50 Euro's which is still extortionate for a tiny package! Scary prices right enough!

Skandix P&P has never been cheap. Have a look around https://www.ebay.ie/str/polarparts They might be more reasonable. I bought some exhaust mount rubbers from them last year. Price and service was good but I don't know how Brexit has affected them.

Indeed, Skandix has a lot of genuine parts or decent aftermarket parts. Need to watch some of the polar parts stuff, the quality isn't great.
