Change dash trim in S90
I’ve bought my S90 R-Design not long ago, while I love the car I don’t like the metal mesh trims inside.
Anyone know if it’s possible to swap these for the wooden bits in the inscription models? |

You can have the trim changed, there has been posts with detailed instructions on here before, you might find it in a search.

Have a look at this : https://accessories.volvocars.com/en...17/all/all/all
I changed the trim on my XC90 from metal to wood (well, the dealer did). At the time the above parts were available as accessories in the UK but I'm not sure if that's still the case. I think the option was withdrawn because Volvo couldn't get enough supplies of some wooden parts, especially the Linear Walnut, plus there was/is probably little demand for it on RHD models. Presumably the various items are available as spare parts but they won't be cheap. I posted pics of mine at post #32 here: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...=257715&page=2

I’ll be on to my dealer to see if they can still do this. Did the metal on the centre console not bother you at all after being changed? |

The metal sliding cover doesn't bother me in the least and not one person has picked up on it. Changing it necessitates removing the centre console completely and to do that the passenger seat has to be removed too. In other words it becomes a lengthy and expensive operation.

I’d recommend getting it wrapped. I wrapped my bmw 3series interior where it was piano black because it got finger prints all over and reflected the sun badly. I plan on doing our T8 when ever it gets delivered. The only thing i that will be a bit tricky is the sliding cover.
You can get all textures imaginable. Rry googleuing interior car wrap. |
