Default Hey man..Don"t touch my car..MOT!

Well, nearly entertained scrapping bertha this year..The rot was really getting inside .After a heart thumping and stressful conversation with the garage I decided to do the stupid thing and get the work done..hey ho it"s only money..a lot of money!!..The old man left me a few bob when he fell off his perch and had only been in my account for two weeks!..I was sooo looking forward to drinking that. The timing was perfect so did not hurt so much when my credit card melted in the machine!..The job entailed...welding..a tyre..exhaust parts which i provided and various sundries..Mind you they did polish the car..(suspicious now)..Poor aul bertha has had so much welding done that she now resembles a childs drawing stuck to a fridge!..The point i"m making is..I dont like anyone messing with me bertha!...and if i can quote MORSINGS recent posts..yep i have the three cylinder issue for the first few minutes (does not happen every time)..all replaceables replaced!..The faint glowing alternator light..which after replacing brush pack made no difference whatsoever..could be an earth leak in the tailgate wiring?..and as for the splashpan under the engine..mine fell off in canterbury at 5am in the morning after its wonderful trip to the garage!..Oh and it now blows a gale from under the dashboard drivers side..Moaning over..hj.

Good story HJ, thank you for sharing that.

It never really makes sense spending money on old cars - but we all (in the 200 section) do it .
