Default 91 Torslanda b200f 2.0 - No Spark

Hello. Newbee here, but I've owned and run my 240 wagon for 6 years daily. 95k. No issues apart from usual wear and tear.

Few weeks ago the car just cut out while driving. No other clues. Just stopped with 3rd gear engaged, moving steady revs, with ignition lights and radio still on. Engine completely out. Restart not even triggering fuel pump or starter motor. Got it towed to my mechanic who tested the coil, plugs, battery, etc which all seemed fine, but stated there was just no voltage going to the coil to create a spark (paraphrased).

I've checked obvious fuses inside engine bay and inside the car. I started off by replacing the little Ignition Module. Then the Cam Shaft sensor. cable And I'm about to buy a used ECU module as that appears an easy swap.
Also I intend to check the diagnosis module if ECU not a fix.

Any other tips or suggestions? Would be most appreciated to get this great car on the road again.

I had a very similar breakdown a couple of months back:~
'88 240. The problem had been a loose fuse on the main petrol pump- a visual check initially showed no problem and the fit to be ok.

On a closer inspection the fuse holders needed closing up with a good clean to remove slight heat stains that also insulated the connections.

May be worth another look?
Good Luck.
Bob.

Do you mean trying to start did not automatically trigger the fuel pump, or that you have tried triggering the pump? Have you tried connecting fuse terminals 4 and 6 together to pypass the relay?
If that works, try replacing the fuel pump relay - white, high up behing the glove box.

You say the starter motor is not working. Is that still the case? If so sounds more like ignition switch if that is the case.

Or if you are auto could be a switch on the gearbox
