I'm glad you mentioned Footman James,as i also got my insurance cheaper thru them on the condition i joined the club, so i wonder if i now have to tell them that i am not a member anymore? and if my insurance will go up.

Now there I was checking up on new posts and saw that this posting had been updated by mrmeringo TODAY at 17.10.
Not a problem until I opened the last post to see mrmeringo last posted on April 21st at 16.42???
So wheres todays post gone?

Very strange unless mrmeringo did a post and completely deleted it?

Oh I see.A bit like when many years ago every time we thanked someone it raised our post count.I had an awful lot of posts that weren't actually real.
Still it can't hurt to keep refreshing it as we need to encourage as many as we can.

Hi All - I am new to this forum concept but have now registered as have just recommissioned an 1987 740 GLE Auto estate as my daily driver. Have got fed up with modern cars so returning to my youth where I used 740 estates as family + mountain bike carriers. After a 10 year relapse I am back with a 740 called 'Mrs Moose' running it on a practical classics basis, still carrying family and mountain bikes. Mrs Moose is silver green with green velour seats, runs well after fitting a new set of injectors and has a dark purple painted headlining after inevitable decay of original, but the fuel gauge works. She also has a nice set of Torslanda cross spoke alloys for an 80s retro look as per Esprit Turbo if you squint...

Interesting to see the threads about creating more interest in the 740 model so although I cannot make BKV I am up for a bit of support to distinguish this model from the later 940's. My wife thinks the 740 has retro chic and will soon be featured in youth orientated fashion photoshoots as per Saab 900's, VW 412s etc.

Nice to see yet another new owner.Welcome back to volvo ownership.
Maybe you could start a new post with a few pictures as we/I always enjoy seeing other peoples cars.
Also glad your using it for what it was intended,A family car and not just a spit and polish showcar.
