Your car's definitely performing really well given there was a near 10 deg C difference in ambient temps between the two days so congrats on getting a cracking example of a car!!!
Thanks. I would be the first to admit I don't totally understand all aspects of this area and so rely heavily on the experienced members of the forum, such as yourself, to spell it out. This was not a case of simply looking for praise, but a learning case in point.

Cheers

can you please confirm that your previous dyno was indeed the same one that SW Autos have just acquired? Do you have any pictures of your previous setup?
Pyaap,

Please could you first confirm which Dyno SW Auto's actually have, as Bobcat states it is a Maha LPS3000 yet in the photo's of the weekend we see a Sun Road a Matic 12. Only then can I accurately answer your query.

Regards,
Hamish.

Regards,

well as you have stated hamish, you see a road-a-matic 12. and with your 20 vaaast years of experience i hope your would stand by your judgement.

also nat claims that you had exactly the same as the ones in the dyno day photos and that they were about 25 years old.

so can we take that as a yes hamish?

I dont know much about these things but i would have thought that a fully compturerised RR is alot more accurate than a analogue dial type version.I have seen a few RR set up`s and they were using fully computerised versions ??????.Surely the analogue versions are outdated and need calabirating and serviceing a lot more often just to keep them some were near a safe operating condition

If you have a read of my first reply in the thread it links to the hardware and software that the swautos dyno will be using. if you look at the photos you will see the cabinet its all locked away in.

you will also be able to read why we just used the analog dials for the day.

and.... if you read this whole thread you will be able to see that even with the anlaog dials the swautos dyno was pretty much spot on with the maha lps 3000 at powerstation where ren did his 2nd run and which was running (in your words) fully computerised.

hope that helps.

I see but just 1 question that i have why were analogue gauges used on that day and not the digital one`s??? seems a bit silly tbh or do they take longer to setup/do the runs
