Door spring replacement
On my PV 544, how do I get the door lock spindle out of the door lock mechanism so I can change the spring? Everything is disconnected now, except for the lock spindle. The diagram showing how to remove the lock cylinder doesn't work; a futile effort

Have you removed the split pin? also where did you obtain replacement spring? I seem to remember from the time I did mine a few years ago that the spindle can stick in the latch mechanism and was difficult.
