Hi
I am new to the forum today, my name is Dave Perkins and I am from Burton on Trent in Staffordshire,
The dark blue 1971 Volvo 144s is my car for sale on the carandclassic website, http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C131435/

the price on the advert is £1750.00 but I would take less for the car from anyone from this club/forum.
I would be interested in a 145 with overdrive fitted if anyone is interested in a part exchange (cash difference either way)
my email is dave.perkins@btconnect.com[/email]

Best Regards
Dave

I am going to repair the surface rust on the lower doors and around the front wings next to the indicators,
Regards
Dave

I think the paint code for your car is 114 Dark Blue. There may be something close on a modern car, but but "close" isn't good enough. Talk to your local car paint supplier. Modern paint systems are different to the original but they should still be able to colour match it.

I'm just going out to my dark blue (same as in the ad) 144 to check the code; as I recall the last time I bought cellulose-equivalent paint the code was summat like 66 but I'll confirm and re-post.

Right, the code is 96.

You should have a plate like this under the bonnet, right up near the base of the screen.
