Default WiFi stopped working

Hi all,
I have a MY18 S90 and this week the WiFi has stopped detecting any networks

Just a message saying no networks found...

Anyone else had this problem?

I tried restarting the WiFi but still no joy.

Thanks in advance
Greg

Obvious thing to ask: is the wifi box ticked in settings/communications/wifi.

Thanks for the reply... Yes - that is how I turn it on and off to see if I can see any WiFi devices - it is seeing nothing...

My next step is to reset the unit - but I lose all of my profile settings so was reluctant to do that..

Suppose the other question is whether you’ve used up all the data on the SIM card?

Good point, but would be able to see the WiFi devices even if I couldn't connect and consume the 3G. I'm not seeing any WiFi available.

Sounds like a total reset is in order

You wont be the first person to run out of data and thought there was a problem try connecting via a phone using the phones mobile hotspot with known data.

Happens a lot, as unfortunately there isn’t an indication how much data is left anywhere- just when it was last reset and a reset, if that makes sense. Or at least I can’t find it. First I know is when the data runs out (I keep a spare just in case)

It does show how much data has been use since last rest but not how much data is left, I sometimes take my sim card out and use it in a mifi modem and this does not get counted in the data used but you can open an accont with your sim provider and open their website and log in to see how much data you have left.
I use 3 data sims and check mine on my account but have to open a new account for each new sim, it only takes a few minutes to set up. Its very good.
You can use the same account if you top up data but its much cheaper to buy a new preloaded data sim.
