To be honest they are a godsend. Before I had mine fitted it was a bit of a fiddle trying to reverse it on to the driveway, and next to impossible without an assistant to help spot the rear corners of the van.

Hope you get your van sorted, it’s a lot of fun and a great way to see new places and meet new people.

As it will be my first caravan I will probably get something that is a few years old to see how we get on with it.
On motor-mover, I recommend Power wheel, part of the trauma group, not because they are nessesarily better in use than others but their customer service is second to none.
Half way to Scotland I found I had left the handset on the draw bar when setting off and of course it was no longer there.
Phoned power wheel at 9 am they had new controller and handset overnight courier delivery to daughters house in Scotland for me to fit to the existing motors next morning.

This year had a clevis pin fail on the 14 year old system, looked on line and 2 possible parts, all less than 30p ordered 2 of each and they were with me day and a half later first class post. Fitting straight forward and mover back in operation same day.

Not the cheapest but their customer service make them worth the money for me.

Paul.

Drive a 5 tonne vehicle under an exemption clause, company transport manager decided it was not nessesary for me to attend the course run for tachograph user's as my vehicle was exempt and he could tell me what went on, except he could not and untangling his biased interpretation was a nightmare. The working radius is another one he could not confirm if it was as crow flies or road miles traveled, transport of goods for others use and card needed, except not in his world, drop it off as you pass.

Thanks in advance
Paul.
Morning Paul, bit out of touch with HGV's these days, I would try the F.T.A. web site or a phone call? (Freight Transport Association)

Regards,Keith.
