Default Installing front parking sensors.

Has anyone done this themselves? If so, is it an easy job?
Ideally I would like the sensor readings to show on the dash display just like the rear sensors.

No, I bought from Dolphin and also used their fitter. Lifetime warranty on both product and fitting swayed the mechanically inept!

Incidentally, I was in Taiwan recently and many drivers have two plastic "spears" sticking upright from both corners of their front bumpers. Cheaper than parking sensors and give an accurate indication of when you are close to something. Unfortunately they look absolutely ridiculous.

Mill Volvo in Harrogate were advertising fitting aftermarket sensors for about £200 all in a few months ago. Try their Newcastle Head office.

I had my local dealer fit the Volvo sensors to my used XC60 because I wanted them to work properly rather than the aftermarket versions which seemed to be a compromise.

I think it was about £600 including fitting...

Ive fitted a few sets of front park assist to various volvo's,

They do take abit of time to do right altho i pull battery box out and run wiring down side of it as i think it looks neater and makes access to the bulkhead gromit easier,

Some cars are prewired front to rear (not many), some have the wire at back but nothing at front and most have nothing,

If you have factory fitted rear then i wouldn't mess about with non gen front as it won't show on display on dash and car will be making all sorts of bleeping noises

Thanks Russ, looks good. I'll have to weigh up the job as I don't fancy wrecking my new car.
