As I understand it, https://www.gcp.se/en/ is the link to the organization who supply genuine parts for older Volvos via the Volvo dealer network. I haven't explored whether they will supply direct to individuals in the UK but their catalogues can be browsed online. For example https://www.gcp.se/en/catalogues/model/s70-v70-en/ includes a guide to decoding the VIN plate and a full set of diagrams with part numbers literally down to last nut and bolt for the S70 and V70. They are in Swedish and English. Wearing my best anorak, I found it most interesting and suspect it could be very useful too.
