Default *WANTED* S60 or 2003 on V70R exhaust manifold

Hi, planning to do a few bits and pieces to the car and one of them involves a change of exhaust manifold as per the thread title. So the question is does anyone have an S60R or 2003 on V70R exhaust manifold they want to sell?

Must be in good working order.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Just to note Andy if it helps I believe the facelift T5's from 2005 on have the R exhaust manifold so if you can find one of those it could also be of use. Check the part numbers though as they might have revised it.

Cheer,s

Why not fit a ME7 manifold?

I can get hold of the R manifolds and sell them on for £250.Will you be interested in me getting you one?

Thanks for the information John I shall look into that and see what I can come up with.

Tony,

Is there much difference between the ME7 manifold and the S60R manifold? Is the £250 for an ME7 R manifold or S60R manifold sorry if your statement is past the obvious just not sure if ME7 R's have a different manifold to the rest of the T5 engines?

No such thing as an ME7 R manifold Andy, Like john has guessed at the ME9 manifold "2005 onwards T5"use the same R manifold as the S60/V70R's however breakers aren't stupid and know exactly what they are selling.

I have a ported ME7 manifold on my 850R and IMO flows as good if not better then the R manifold. However if like most people you just want the R manifold for bragging rights then go with the R manifold.

Top manifold is the R

Bottom is the ME7

Both are un-ported, its not difficult to see which flows better....

Cheers for the info guy's I know there are a couple of newer Volvos at my local breakers. Will have a look and see what's about at the weekend, Tony will let you know if I want you to source me an S60R manifold although if there isn't much difference I am guessing the ME7 manifold would work out alot cheaper and it's not as if I am chasing huge power figures
