Default S60 software update (front fogs)

Just had to pay main dealer for the priveledge, only to be told the bloody lights dont work!

Hoping its bulbs, but they want to charge me £100 diagnostics.

Any ideas?

If I'm reading this correctly, you've added front fogs to a car which didn't have them?
If so, already mentioned above but check that the correct fuse has been fitted, they are usually missing from accesories that aren't installed. Also check that the fog lamp relay has been fitted.

Have you got the switch on the dash to turn on/off?

Check the bulbs.

test with a multi meter.

Yeah, switch is fine. Servicing the car later so will replace the bulbs then and go from there

Hi,

The fuse is in (no. 18 in the dash), but where is the relay? The enginebay relay box doesnt give too much away.

relay is just above the obd connector by your right knee, its a small back thing.

Fantastic advice! Just been to check (would never have known to look there!)

Trial and error with the spare relays i got for the reverse lights, but i now have fully working front fogs! To think the stealers would have charged £100 for that...MINIMUM!!

Theres a beer waiting if you're ever in the vicinity.

Just a second here... So it is possible for me to fit front fogs along with the correct light switch pack, fuse and relay and off I go without the need for stealer coding?
