Default faulty lock needs replaced

Hello everyone.
I have an XC70 D5 se lux "premium" (I think that's what the dealer calls it when it has all the toys and they want to stick a few quid on...

My problem is with a faulty driver's side front door lock which does not operate on keyless or remote control. The rest of the doors lock and the alarm comes on, but the indicators do not flash reminding me that a door is unlocked. I can manually lock the door and then reopen it via keyless entry and the handle.

I suspect that the door lock actuator has failed. The local main dealer wants £245 for a replacement lock and then fitting on top.

Does anyone know where I can get a compatible lock that I can get my "man" to fit, please? I trust him more than the main dealer any day.

Advice and guidance very welcome, please.

Cheers from the sultry north east.

Use the search facility as its been covered on hear before . It a problem that crops up quite often. I fixed my sons car at no cost but took about four hours . Problem is usually caused by the lubricant used getting into the motor and onto the commutator/ brushes.
