I'm going to flush my auto again this year and I'll reset as you hopefully describe!
Mine has just the occasional fast bumpy shift 2_3 usually when hot, if I can cure that then my gearbox will be 100%.

I'm still experiencing silky smooth fault free gearbox operation 6 or so weeks after the deletion of the old adaption. I'm currently sitting in the caravan typing this after using the car to tow here, up and down hills and through the North Yorkshire countryside to the site. So, it continues to be absolutely the correct thing to have done for this car.
