Part number for a tube and advice please.
There is a pipe (tube, call it what you will) that goes from the tailgate to the roof of the car, which carries wiring.
It feels pretty full which is a pity, as I'd like to install some extra toys, most of which require more wiring going from the tailgate to the main body of the car. The existing tube goes from the nearside to the offside, I am wondering if I can install another tube, going in the opposite direction. Do people think there's room for the crossover in the centre? The tailgate seems to have a blanked off hole to accommodate this, though sadly there is no corresponding blank-off leading to the roof lining in the main body. Finally dear readers, can anybody enlighten me as to the part number for this tube. I tried attaching a picture of the problem but it won't upload, hence the rather garbled description. The extra "toys" I referred to are a reversing camera, a rear facing dashcam, and a device for closing the boot remotely (I cant remember if that has wires or not!)

The latest tailgate operating module from Evgeny Kosourov plugs into the OBD2 socket and is available to also carry out other functions. It is a lot more sophisticated than the original one I bought which wires inside the tailgate but still doesn't have any wiring passing back into the car. The advantage of the new module is that there is no installation at all, just plugging it in! If the OBD2 socket needs to be used for VIDA diagnostics, the module is just unplugged and replaced when the diagnostics are completed.

I've looked in what I think are all the likely sections of the parts list, but can't find this item. Out of curiosity if anybody can locate it, I'd like to know where.

Hi all, Back again!!
I've still not managed to get the part number for this tube that all the wiring goes through, nor any idea if there's room for two of them. I sure looks like there is! so I'm still asking for help with that one. While I'm toying with messing around with wires I have another question. There is an "Aux port" for my MP3 player in the box between the seats. Is it reasonable to put a second one in, mounted on the dash board somewhere? Also, is it possible to link the steering wheel audio controls to an MP3 player to skip tracks or go back to start of track?

Are you sure that is the correct number for the flexi conduit? Your description says Wiring Harness and that would be the wires in side the flexi surely?

Good point but I read it to be the harness that held the wires.
Either way, I've ordered it, so now it's a case of hoping there is room for two of them on one tailgate.

I hope you are right but "wiring harness" usually means a bespoke set of wires with connectors attached for a specific purpose in the car's electrical system. The expression "loom" is also used for the same thing.

You may well be right Tatsfield. I ordered it yesterday, it arrived half an hour ago. That's good by anybody's standards. Yes, it is the tube and all the wires. Now I can play with it and get some idea how easy it's going to be to either fit it, or put wires through the existing one space wise. It's not so much the space for wires but more getting connections through.
