Hi Oilline,

Hoping you could help out with a bit of advice again. What brembo brakes do you have? Do you know what model Porsche they are off? There's some on ebay at the moment and am wondering if they may be a good option for my brake upgrade. Do you have part numbers you could forward on? What size rotors are you using? I'm starting to look into brake options and to be fair I now stuff all about brakes. Also considering AP brakes but may have to sell the wife and dog first to pay for them.. ;-)

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Mitch

Only just found this, I'm thinking of running a Rotrex surpercharger on my 960, just looking into it at the moment. Lovely car, nice to see someone doing something different for a change.

Hi Mitch
I believe the calipers are Porsche 993 / Boxter "big reds" as they call them. I will make a note of the part number tomorrow. I think these on Ebay are the same as mine and not a bad price, item 110498068420. I paid £180 for mine though
To be honest any caliper with a radial mount can easily be made to fit. It may be worth looking at Hi-Spec or Willwood brakes. They are not a bad price. Take a look at this link form Rally Design, lots of usefull info, http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/pdf/des...pot_brakes.pdf.

My rotors are range Rover Sport, only about £35 each. I think they are 335mm diameter, i will measure tomorrow.

Hi Pez, i keep putting off body work because i dont enjoy it. So i go and do some more mechanical bits then go back to it.

I just need to get that A post finished, then i can get the inner wing repair sections in. Im not looking forward to that as im not sure how to make them fit!

Excellent thanks for the advice. My head is spinning a bit at the moment with all the options. Will have a look into Hi-Spec or Willwood as well.

335mm, what size front rims have you got? She'll certainly stop okay...

Got a good bit of welding done today. Its good to see fresh shiny steel going back in at last. I can now see light at the end of of a rusty very tunnel.

New and old chassis sections treated before closing up

I cut out the dimple from the old footwell and welded it into the new section i made. I dont know what its for but looks more original.

Thank goodness for Cleco clips.
