Default EMAP pipe change - car in limp mode

Took my 2015 D3 in for its 5th service and recall today, and the dealer phoned back saying the EMAP tube was blocked and needed replacing at just under £200.
The car has never suffered any issues and was running very well.
They said I could phone customer care if I wanted, so in the end they agreed to change it FOC.
On the way home the car went into limp mode and would cut out on junctions, To get it home I had to use manual gear change and keep the revs above 1500rpm. The car wont idle for more than a few seconds before uniing limpy and cutting out.

Not sure whats happened but dissapointed that I took a perfectly good car in and it came out like this. They suggested calling Volvo breakdown at first. Now they are coming to have a look tomorrow. I am expecting its not our fault conversation.
Would thish be the EMAP sensor causing this?
