willie dee Guest Location:	340 gears Hi can anyone help? I have recently acquired an F plate 340 1700cc redline which has a gearchange problem.To engage 1st and 2nd gears you have to go really hard to the left to find the gears. It is not a clutch problem as they are still odd even when the engine is not running.There is a fair bit of play on the stick could it be the bushes atthe bottom of the gearstick? I am hoping for some clues before I take the sideplate off the gearbox to check it.Anyone any thoughts or any help appreciate many thanks WILLIE
