Default T8 charging status on VoC

Have my T8 now, and plug it in pretty much every time I get home as I have a wall charger. When the car’s charging the app shows ‘full at xx time’ - so all good. But sometimes (i think when it’s fully charged) it shows as ‘paused’. I’ve been out to the car and the green charging light has gone out (which the manual says it will after a while), so is this a known bug? If I know that ‘paused’ actually means ‘fully charged’ then I can ignore it - but at other times it has just said ‘fully charged’?

When I unplug and plug in again the green light comes on constant, which shows full charge status, but the app still says ‘paused’. Odd...

I have that aswell - paused seems to mean fully charged.

Mine is in with the dealer at the moment - can you tell me does your remote start work ?

Never tried - preconditioning works just fine, haven’t tried remote start.

Have you figured out the difference between precondition and remote start? I've used precondition fit he year I've had the car and it heats the cabin and pops on the elec seats, etc when needed so I can't understand when I would want to use remote start!

To allow the aircon to run to cool the car down when it's hot? That's what I use it for on my D5, not sure if the T8 works similarly. I precondition using the aux fuel-fired heater when it's cold.

I tried remote start today, and it said it wouldn’t work because the car is plugged in charging. Is that right?

Even though we are still trying to figure this out, I would definitely say you should be preconditioning when plugged in.

I'm going to try remote start to cool as suggested by Lexman when we have a day that is warm enough!

I’m at my mum’s and charging using 3 pin for the first time. Didn’t realise you can change the input current - was surprised how long it was predicting to charge, but that dropped a bit when I switched it to 8A.

The preconditioning will only stay on for a short time - it will heat the seats and steering wheel when plugged in. It will vent to ambient temperature when not plugged in.

If you're at work and it has started snowing and you want to defrost the car and warm it up before driving home you can remote start it for up to 15 minutes if you have 8 gallons of fuel in the tank.

Pre conditioning seems to work fine, as does flashing lights - just having difficulty with the remote start.

You sure it's 8 gallons on a T8? It's ~10 litres on my D5.
