Default 1996 manual 850 Estate for sale

Hi all,

I am reluctantly selling my 1996 Volvo 850 Estate 2.5 petrol. I bought the car in May 2020 as a bit of a lockdown project/hobby however the progressive COVID situation forces the sale as I do not have the time or the money to enjoy the car.

Good points:
• the bodywork is in good condition for the age
• the interior is in excellent condition for the age - the back seats look like they’ve never been used and the boot carpet looks as new
• 2 owners before me - previous owner for 15 years looked after it no expense spared (e.g. pirelli tyres, manufacturer parts)
• MOT until December 2021 (passed last time with 2 minor advisories)
• everything electrical works (front & rear electric windows, heated seats, stereo, a/c)
• comes with original manual/service history/some invoices etc
• I’ve had some work done, including ABS reluctor rings, new battery, new heater module (about £500 worth of parts & labour)

Less good points:
• there are some paint bubbles on the front wings
• the car has done 196,760 miles however drives perfectly (gearbox is still good, still pulls really well)
• doesn’t always start (probably alternator - which is what I don’t have the time or money to replace) - however jumps fine and then drives perfectly

This is great, interesting and special 90s barge and it would be a shame to see it scrapped, however I can’t dedicate the time to it at the moment.

Any questions let me know by messaging.

The car is located in South Birmingham, UK

£1,100 ONO

Suggest you put this in the "Sales" section, this section is for technical queries - you'll probably get more views and responses there too. Cheers!
