Painted the engine and gearbox this afternoon, happy with how it turned out. Anyone interested in the paints I primed with Jotamastic 80 and topcoated with Jotun Hardtop AX. Will de-mask them tomorrow. The epoxy does take a week to properly harden so will need to leave it for a bit before i install them.

Every time I hear the term 'followers', I think of Monty Python's Life of Brian. Substitute a Volvo for a gourd and Burdekin is sort of close to Brian. On the down side, meets a sticky end.

There’s always a bit of trepidation going back the next day and hoping all has gone well over night with the paints. I normally try and do wet on wet over this epoxy and so far never had a problem but there’s always a bit of a risk. I only left it dry for 1hr before topcoat, that should be fine and it should result in a really good bond between the epoxy and topcoat but there is always a risk of solvent pop. Fingers crossed all is good.
