Members Discount In Cumbria

After reminding them about my VOC membership and presenting my membership card on several occasions, I was reluctantly given a discount on the cost of parts used during recent repairs to my V70. I was also informed by my local main dealer Lloyds Motors of Cockermouth that I am entitled to a 10% VOC Members discount on parts only, and not on both parts and labour as stated in the Guide To Volvo Dealers, printed in the Volvo Driver magazine.

Thats the discount I get at my local Volvo dealer 10%. Nothing on labour costs.

Might be an idea to contact one of the editors of the magazine to check it's not type error, they would also be able to confirm what discounts are available with the dealer and take steps to remedy.

I get 10% on labour but not parts used in servicing and 10% on parts from the parts counter that I take away, at Lloyd Motors Carlisle.

My understanding of their entry was it should be 10% parts and labour across the board.

Can a club official query this as 2 branches of the same company are applying a different policy.

Yes, it is correct @ Carlise. However I was waiting until I got confirmation from Llyods Cockermouth, before posting a reply, as I have not been able to speak to the Dealer Principal at that branch.

I will post an update ASAP.

PV Dobson in Kendal have gone a bit funny on it as well... I spoke to them really nicely and managed to get 5% off my last service (I was happy as it was £100 less than Lewis's in Shrewsbury)

I have spoken to the Dealer Principal @ both LLoyds Carlise and Cockermouth and can confirm that a discount of 10% on Parts and Labour is applicable to VOC members producing a valid membership card.

Both LLyods Carlise and LLoyds Cockermouth, have been very co-operative in resolving the discount issue, and have also said they are commited to providing a first class service and value your custom.
