Default Indicator Short Flash

Should you get a short flash sequence from the indicators when moving the stalk up or down to engage the indicator, without moving fully up or down to lock indicators on?

I have a 2005 V70 D5 and if I attempt a short flash then the indicator will flash once when it engages the switch, or more if I keep it held in position, but not a short burst of the indicator like I would expect.

Pretty certain that feature isn't on your model year.

No, I confirm it certainly isn't a feature on 2005 MY cars

I stand to be corrected but I "think" this function is available via a Volvotech CFE.
I've yet to try it on mine but maybe worth a look if the function is needed.

Sorry Theeggman but what is a Volvo CFE?

CFE is a Canbus Function Extender, a little box of magic that lets you do things like vary how lights or windows behave and display extra info in the DIM. See volvotech.eu for more.

I didn’t realize how much I use the lane-change soft touch indicator function on my C70 until I was driving an older XC70 loaner without it while my timing belt was done.
