Default V79 d5 cutting out problem help please

Looking for any help you may be able to offer
Volvo v70 d5 manual 52 plate engine service message pops up some times and later ending cuts out but restarts ? .any ideas please ?? No fault codes ?

1/4 of a tank but it’s done it with 1/2 tank ordered fuel filter today
Thought it was relay electrical problem swoped them about but still problem acurs ??

If it happens at high speed, going uphill or accelerating it could be the fuel filter.
When was it last changed?

Just bought the v70 so unsure if and when it might of had a new fuel filter but nice to know you concur

When the old filter is removed, put a tray under the filter socket and turn ignition on, see if the electric intank pump puts out a minor stream of fuel to make sure it works.
You can also prime the new filter by turning ignition on for 20 seconds a few times.

Well old filter did not look like it might of been replaced before
But still changed it and bleed it
Let’s see if it cuts out again
I donot think this will fix it mind you let’s see fingers crossed
