strut brace (what I'm thinking)
Just tried one of my bars I have pre cut and bent for my 700/900 tubular braces. Can't believe how perfect they are in all aspects for going between the outer most front stud. Literally perfect! Ive asked someone to post some pictures I've taken, as I've just got a new phone and it's not letting me upload them. So hopefully he'll post them. Just wanted to give people an idea of what I'm thinking. Same style as my 700/900 ones but just off one front stud. Should work and look nice in conjunction with the triangulation bars if u have them already. If not that will be the next thing I'll be doing. There's loads of clearance to the n/a intake manifold, so no worries for turbo guys. I'll eventually, if there interest make an all in one fancy brace a bit like the kalpenke ultimate 240 brace, But the separate option will definitely be cheaper.
If people think they will be interested in any of the things I've mentioned, let me know Cheers Martin |

I'll register an early interest in this, plus triangulation bars

IMO if your front end is actually flexing there would be too much stress put through that single small bolt. A ring or U plate that uses all 3 bolts obviously better, as it distributes the stress.

Yes I understand that. I'll eventually make a all in one brace but this one is for people who already have the gt braces therefore it will be distributed between two bolts which is plenty enough. A lot of people just run the gt braces on there own which is on one stud with no problems. So this one is to work along side them to make it better. That was my plan anyway. I had assumed most people who would be interested in a brace would already have the gt's. So it would be a cheap alternative for them rather than buying a complete brace.

So, are these going to attach to 2 of the bolts on each strut tower?
Then the firewall brace attaching to the third? |
