Default V70PJB registration

For info folks I have my old Merc E240 "V70PJB" on ebay item 200623000160. The plate is the ONLY registration associated with the car and the car is being sold with it. Most interest is from breakers (I have used the word "rust" in the description - for those that don't know them this is a weak spot (literally) of the W210 E-class.)

I need the car off my drive and insurance and have no idea how you would go about separating car and registration at DVLA if a PJ Brown or a PJ Black or any other "PJB" wanted to put it on a V70. It has bids and I am selling it as is with the plates. I suspect you might have to scrap it to recover the registration, but thats what the bidders look likely to do anyway!

Nick

Just spoken with DVLA - they tell me the plate is "non-transferable" and must stay with the car
