I looked a D5 P2 V70 that had been in for 8 cam belt changes. My XC70 is barely run in by comparison; about 178k.

Still running my xc70 in at 264000, all original box and engine with only one gearbox flush at 158000. Though oil in the box is starting to be more brown then red, so due a change soon

Can't play. Police (former owner) fubarred the engine, so I had someone put in an engine with lower mileage. (50k instead of 125k). Gearbox and rest (like AWD Haldex) are all original and functional as far as I know.
I am now at a mere 245k miles or so (closing in on 400000km, brotherr-in-laws V70 FWD was sold at 440,000km/275k miles).

2005 Facelift, 201K 163 Euro 3.

Engine runs like a Swiss clock - a knowledgable D5 owner commented this morning that the engine was running extremely well - no smoke, no smelly exhaust. At the last MOT test (2K miles ago) it had a Opacity Mean Value of 0.18 and zero drift so better than a Euro 4 and right at Euro 5 as I understand from what I've read:

https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/new-...-emission-cars

If someone has a better understanding on this I'd appreciate hearing it..

Geartronic works as it should - perhaps because I do a transmission dump every spring with Mannol 3309 and Lubegard Red and Oil changes are Shell Helix Ultra with a dose of Liqui Moly Ceratec every 5K miles.

Doesn't use any oil whatsoever.

We normally do a trip to Sweden at least twice/year and coming home and parking the car it always shows better than 55 mpg (yes, I know, unreliable but it jells with the miles travelled/liters used).
