Default Park assist is 'temporarily unavailable'

Had this message pop up on the dash earlier, anyone else seen this? Parked up 20 mins later and tested park assist (only have rear sensors) and it worked fine. Im suspecting a software issue (no idea why! ) Message didnt appear on the following restart either.

Had spent a while before washing the car, hoping not related, but did have some issues with my V70 parking sensors (after a few years mind) occasionally when i washed the car. They were replaced as the connections on the back were corroded and i was asked it i had powerwashed the car and if you ever did make sure you dont point the powerwasher directly at the sensors as water can get in.

I had a fleeting Amber warning stating that Parking Assist was Temporary Unavailable. The warning cleared within seconds and has not reappeared since.
It happened when I stopped for a break.

I also, only have the reversing sensors, plus the camera.

I had this a couple of times on the motorway, in driving rain.

I also got it when driving through lots of puddles and floods and mud on a private road.

It cleared within 2 secs no more. I thought software at first but I now put it down to the sensor(s) being blocked with water/mud and then clearing.....

We have a local b-road on the school run which often floods but can be passed with a little care if it hasn't got too deep. We've had the sensor warning after passing this.

I'd like to add that I received this message yesterday. It was a dry day with dry roads. Within a couple of seconds of the message appearing, the centre console tablet shutdown and rebooted itself. Once it rebooted, the warning message cleared.

4 weeks ago I also got a message saying Brake System Service Required. The car is fairly new and only had 500 miles on the clock when the first message appeared. Seems to be a few software issues perhaps.

Thanks.
Paul.

I am quite often getting that message these days. Then it clears all by itself.

I get this maybe once or twice a month (~2000Miles/month) it's usually on the motorway (but then I am usually on the motorway) but it did happen at slow speed ~15-20 last week.

The weather doesn't affect it.

The dealer told me it was fixed by a software update in November, it's so infrequent I've not bothered to go back and I've not really had the time either, but plan to go in when I have the chance.

I'm intrigued!

Default Front parking sensor

Also had the error message that Park Assist is not available, but I don't have park assist.

However, I'm both amazed and disappointed that a car of this price doesn't have the front sensors enabled as standard, been told this will cost a £1000 to enable which would include the park assist.

It's small things like this that make the difference when buying a car again.
