C70 disc player

Just purchased a 2003 C70, and went to check the broken aerial, and found I have a 6 cd player (Alpine CHM-S630) but noticed straightaway it wasn't plugged in, the reason why was the the Volvo lead has 8 pin 'small' male connector, and the Alpine unit has a 8pin large male connector, so obviously they wouldn't fit if equal size, as both male type, so could anyone tell me if you can get a double female to female connector to join the to different connections? or is the 8 pin wiring in the leads different anyway e.g. live, neutral, etc> or tell me what is the right 6 cd player I need, The radio is the SC-805 head unit. I couldn't understand why some one would go to the trouble fitting it all in(4 bolts, and looks brand new) and then realise the leads didn't match. thank you
