Smile fault code

P242F i believe is DPF full, or restriction.. has yours gone into limp mode (feels like an engine half the size and massive drop in power).. what else has happened before as the fault code is usually a result of many other things going on before you get that.. one easy to check thing is glowplugs resistance and if your having any kind of slow or rough running when cold could be glowplug related, they are also used during regen i believe so thats another side effect..

Only had the car a week, ran fine for about 20 miles then into limp mode. I have an iCarsoft reader and it came up with low turbo so cleaned the Turbo Solenoid, MAF and Air Filter. Worked OK for a few more miles then back into limp mode with a SootParticle Filter full, so did the regen using the iCarsoft, done it a few times now and now it is throwing up the DPF error, along with EML and a few other codes (glow plugs, MAF).
I think the previous owner must have had all the codes cleared prior to me seeing it.

Just in case anyone else has the same issues, the DPF codes and 'Soot filter full' messages were caused by a cracked turbo hose. Replaced and now all good.
