Default Amazon Estate 1968 - Matthewsons Auction

Just seen a rather interesting lot coming up on Matthewsons March auction, guided at £2 - £3,000

No photos, but at bottom of the screen a You Tube walk round video, looks a pretty straight base for a project.

Cheers
Steve

That does look good, but have you seen the 122s? That's a beauty.

Yes, the 122S is a beauty. I know the car and its owner. Sadly, due to health reasons he has had to sell his cars. Whoever buys the 120 will have bought a superb car and will not be disappointed. I don't know about the Estate. The car can be seen at Bruntingthorpe and Elvington at the Volvo 600 on YouTube.

Rick paid £6k for it so hope he gets his money back.

His 2 door is also worth a lot more than the estimate. I assume low estimates to get interest but his 2 door is lovely and really well looked after as well.

Hi Mitch,

Doh, just realised I forgot to paste the link on the first post about this one.

https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/auction...pp=48&pn=1&g=1

Seems you and Dibble know a bit of the background, and sorry to hear they’re being sold due to ill health.

Yes, the 2 door does look absolutely stunning, and I would agree it appears the estimates are low to attract interest etc.

Just have a query about the estate, the photos appear to show some mark across the roof virtually in line with the B pillar, any ideas???

Only asking purely out of interest of coursealthough I did get a delivery cost quote from Matthewsons😀😀

Cheers

It had a roof rack on it when I saw it so probably something from that I’d imagine. It’s a good honest car, what you see is what you get type of deal.

Just to update on this one, reached £3700 but the sound on my laptop was a bit iffy so i don't know 100% if it was sold or a provisional.

Cheers
