Drivers door lock problems

I'm baffled... and can't find a conclusive answer on other threads on here.

I have a faulty drivers door lock, symptoms..
Drivers door does NOT lock with remote... lock pin doesnt move at all.

ALL buttons on DDM work fine (known common problem)
Deadlocks work as expected
Locking works OK with key and pin moves as expected
Pin can be pushed down manually and locks ok but oddly doesn't bounce back up when the door is open which I'm sure it used to do.

So... DDM or lock module... or something else?!

Help please!

I recently changed my rear drivers side door lock.

It started randomly stopping working, then pin was very slow to move up or down with the remote. Eventually the pin stopped moving in the down position and so it was permenetly locked.
Having researched it would be a door card off job to get to the lock I left it.
Eventually 2 monthd later it started working randomly again so I took the door card off now I could get the door open.
With the card off I confirmed I could lock / unlocking manual on the pin.

Bought a lock from the ebay and its been happy ever since.
