Give me a shout on 01604 621363 and we'll set it up - I'm in until 5:30 today and back in at 8am tomorrow. You can email me your chassis number (or registration and I'll look up the Chassis), Volvo ID and Mobile Number to mtilling@bellsmotorgroup.co.uk and I'll get on the case.

Thanks

Marc
A huge thank you to Marc for sorting my wife and I out today. Much appreciated.

May you be rewarded with loads of good karma for sorting out a stranger in distress on the Interweb. Top work fella.

Hi all, sorry to reopen this thread. First time poster after lurking on the forums for a few weeks. I collected my new XC90 yesterday afternoon from Rybrook in Warrington (who were lovely), but VOC wasn't activated. I asked the person who gave me a tour of the car, and was told I'd have to contact my broker and ask them to get it authorized. Just wondering if this is correct? I'm also leasing with Lex, and assumed it would be activated given their relaxed stance mentioned in earlier posts.

The broker or lease company will have no access to the systems required to activate the on call. I'd speak to the supplying dealer and ask them to do it for you as they are the only ones (out of the broker, lease company and supplier) who have the ability to do this....

Lex are fine with it being activated these days as long as you remove your link to the car before you hand it back.

It is the dealer's responsibility to activate and sign you up with On-Call BEFORE you take delivery , It is part of the cars specification regarding insurance etc ..they have failed in their duties an an authorised Volvo dealer... If a lease company or anyone else objects then it is down to the dealer to explain how the system works and what it is , the lease companies have their own ideas when they hear the word Wi-Fi and they are wrong ...
