Default Just hit the 30K mark..

A year and a half of ownership, 30K trouble-free Kms - thought I should report on it.

The car still has original tires (granted I swap them for winters seasonally but the summers have done at least 20K kms..) with over 60% thread left, original brakes/rotors (rotors as good as new, pads are at 70% roughly..), and other than a broken windshield (after 3 months of ownership.. ) and the recalled rear hatch struts- nothing else needed to be replaced thus far. No premature wear on the interior parts, and Sensus working perfectly from day one.

The car has been to the shop twice- first time for the annual service, second to replace the recalled hatch struts.

Am I just one of the lucky SPA owners or are there more people who have had a near-perfect owner's experience with their cars?

Very nice. I just tipped 70k miles on my Macan. Always nice to see the big figures roll over on the speedo (and then wince a bit when you know it's another depreciation jump).

Getting close to 2 years - no issues at all in the V90. It’s a superb car.

20k miles and 18 months , Sensus has re-booted itself maybe 3 or 4 times and one faulty door lock, that's it. Pretty good so far.

Glad to hear there's more of us with perfect (or near-perfect..) SPA Volvos.. As someone who's driven pre-SPA Volvos (but also many other car brands as well..), I genuinely think that these cars are well put together- as a matter of fact- compared to the V60 I owned just before my current XC60- I think Volvo has made a huge improvement in assembly/component quality (doesn't come as a surprise- as my last Volvo was Mondeo-based..)

I've had 1 x S60 2001, 1 x C30 2009, 1 x V90 2018, previous partner had 1 x S60 2003, 1 x V70 2009 and 1 x XC60 2014.

Only the XC60 ever gave any trouble, it was one of the first with the 4-cyl D4 and had issues with coolant loss. All the others have been trouble free, well made and only ever needed regular service items.

For various reasons my XC90 hasn’t covered the mileage anticipated at purchase but it has been relatively trouble free. The main issues were dodgy sat-nav and a bad battery early on, and only two recalls. One for the power-pulse pipe and one for the intercooler pipe last week. Other than that it has gone very well indeed.
Oh and it has only covered 30,000 miles so far.

Tyre wear is excellent with the Pirelli 19" wheels and tyres but was fairly severe when fitted with the original 20" with Contis, which are stored in my shed. The aim was to fit winter tyres to the 19" once the original Pirelli had worn out. They won’t wear out before I change the car, although I hope I can buy it off the finance company. We’ll see.
