I did once find myself following an unmarked Senator containing four uniformed officers on a training drive. They was sticking exactly at the speed limit, and so (obviously!) was I. It got to the point that I was matching their positioning for sight-lines, taking overtakes directly after them, and so on. I did wonder if they'd react - but I wasn't doing anything wrong, nor anything that they wasn't doing himself, so if they noticed, it didn't seem to bother them. After about twenty miles, they went one way, I went another, and that was that.

HiStephend, the instructor in the training Senator would be watching you as would the driver of course. They would be interested in your line through bends, your system before overtaking and returning to the nearside and generally watching to see if you were an advanced police driver. They can easily tell. They would not stop you as they would be more intent on what they were doing unless you were being really silly.
