I had a look on the link supplied in the previous posts to navteq and it shows the current version as 2010.1 for a 2007 xc70. However, there is no mention of the addition of post code search. The previous posts mention in red post code search. Can anyone confirm this as that would be a feature worth updating the maps for? Also to add postcode search I believe that the RTI application software would need to be updated and I was not aware that the maps updated the application software as the dvds appear to be pure information database discs. Do they have a firmware update facility built in?
Many thanks |

RTI Sat Nav
I've got this in a 2.5T V70 I've just bought. Got a feeling that this is going to send me the wrong way down one-way streets in strange places. For instance, it doesn't know that a new island was put in the middle of Gainsborough about two years ago, and wanted to send me into a one-way. That happened the very first time I tried to use it. Not good. Points on my licence and fines I don't need. Pity, because it's a such a clever thing hiding itself in the middle of my dash.

Blimey, please don't get into the situation of getting fines & points due to a satnav sending you the wrong way, its really not worth it. That clever little thing in the dash is only ever going to be a secondary device after that even cleverer little thing on top of your shoulders. Maybe I'm just old school about this ? No offence meant at all here, just my opinion.
