Default Bi-Xenon Bulbs different colour!

A while ago my vehicle was fitted with a new bi-xenon bulb (part number 989833) at the price of £103. I’ve only just noticed that it seems to be a different colour temperature to the other one. Is this normal for a new xenon bulb or has the stealership actually installed the wrong bulb or perhaps should have looked that the other one and matched it. I realise that the aftermarket bulbs can be different colour temperatures but does Volvo only recommend the one colour temperature or are there a few to choose from?

They change colour over time hence the suggestion that you change them in pairs.

I noticed this too recently , the new bulbs seem to be about 4300 k whilst the original 6000 k .. however both should have a similar life of around 7 years so the other will be going pink soon no doubt ..

If the new one is around 4300 then surely that is pinker than the old one and therefore you seem to have the same problem as me whereby the older bulb hactually has a cleaner light?

The higher the number the bluer the light. From memory 4700k is the closest to White light.

Yep I had this with my last XC, ended up changing both as the colour change was really noticable.

That's my point, surely a newer bulb should show whiter than and older bulb but this doesn't seem to be tha case.

Yes the older bulb was whiter .. the new one more yellow
The bulbs tend to go pink before they fail altogether ..
