Default tyre wear and steering drift

Hi
bought a new xc90 SE D5 last year. Convinced car pulled to left from new. It went back to dealer who convinced my wife the 1cm scrape on the front left wheel was the real reason. Tracking and road test conducted and sent on merry way. You guessed it no difference. Back in and 4 wheel alignment, agan no difference. The car has done 6k and the front left outer edge of the tyre is clearly worn.
Does anybody have any experience of similar problem? I am no mechanic but a fairly tight yorkshire man so a new set of tyres is not appealing so soon. Whether it is related but at slow speed at full lock the front of the car seems to rock and jump to the outer edge?

any help much appreciated

try front pressures at 38 psi ..
this wont help pulling but will help edge wear .
Pulling is usualy caused by tyres not alignment , try swapping front tyres to rear and vice versa or just swapping left to right on the front .. or both if its a problem still .

I agree with Clan. I just had a trawl through some old threads and on google and found this quote which somes up the phenomenon:

" The tyre guys referred to it as "radial pull". The only solution they have provided is to rotate tyres front-to-back, which solved the problem. In one instance, the "pull" returned after a few thousand miles. I again rotated F-to-R, which again fixed the pull. No amount of aligning/balancing has made a difference for me. "

Also, a faulty tyre can be the cause.

What tyres are they out of interest?

Thanks for the advice. They are the standard tyres that came with the vehicle, continentals I think. The car is only 9 months old 6k on the clock and the front left is clearly worn to wear bar. Will see what the dealer suggests next week!
