This is my first Volvo. Before this, I had more Vauxhalls than anything else. However, after my first year with it in which I have done as many miles as in either of my last and last but 1 cars (both Vx) over 3 years each and without anything other than routine maintenance, then I think I would say a resounding YES.

I will reserve judgement |

Had my first Volvo since May this year, XC60 R-Design D5 Ice White. Covered 5K miles, very impressed so far- best car I've ever owned! Previous cars over last 10 years were BMW 325, Mercs C220, E Class 220cdi and 3 litre cdi sport.
Ordered Range Rover Evoque back in March, but couldn't wait until September for delivery. Now so happy with XC60, comfort, quality finish, looks, whole package! Early days yet, but will definitely buy another if reliability proves good!

I want to replace the S60 as it's getting a little tired now, but I really cant decide what with? At the moment I'm fancying the idea of a Jaguar XJ or XK R. Problem is, finding a good one..

I've had my V50 2.0D SE Powershift for 2 years and it has been great. Looking to get a XC60 D5 Auto in the next few weeks.
Prior to the Volvo, I had BMW's for the best part of 10 years. (Then I grew up). Although the 3 Litre twin turbo hard top cabriolet was something else - until it came to changing the two back 22" run flats (£850). Definitely a Volvo man now - I do not miss the BMW years (the hand-wringing dealer smugness, great expense to do anything and "not being let out in traffic" attitude in London). Yep, all in all I've mellowed and looking forward to my XC60. |
